The witches

The witches prophecies are powerful by the way of knowing what is going to happen and they happened. I think in my opinion I believe in the prophecies it would had happen in both ways first the witches knowing what was going to happen and second on how everything was going very bad when Macbeth became king on purpose by killing Duncan .

The weird sisters prophecies are very powerful when it comes to influencing Macbeth and his next actions. I believe the events would have not happen if the witches would have not told Macbeth his future. Macbeth might have thought about becoming once before, naturally, people want to be on the top, but to actually find out that a dream was capable of actually becoming a reality created ambition within him to try and get the position he wanted.

I think the weird sisters prophecies are very powerful because all of what they said was going to happen did. Macbeth at first thought that they weren't as powerful but as soon as the things started happening he started to realize that they really where. I think the predictions cause the events of the play to happen because if  the weird sisters wouldn't have said the prophecies something different would of have happened. Macbeth acted very suprised when the prophecies were happening, he didin't expect that.

I think without the witches telling macbeth everything they told him none of these things would have happen. Macbeth was afraid to kill the first time and if he didn't tell his wife what the withces said then she wouldn't have presude him to kill because she would have thought of the actual conscuinces to killing someone. I don't think that the same things would have happened it the witches had not told Macbeth anything. Macbeth was only acting had and untouchable because of what the witches said. If they wouldn't have told him he would be acting like a chicken. Not everything that the witches said were true. I honestly don't think none of all this would have occurred if the witches prophecies were never to be mentioned. They simply got into Machbeths head and made him think other wise, he didn't once have a thought of being king until the three sisters came along. They just made Macbeth think that he was going to be super powerful.

I think that the sisters prophecies are very powerful because that is what Macbeth goes by. He listened to the words that they told him. I don't think that the same events would have happened if the witches didn't tell Macbeth their prophecies. I say this because before the witches came in the story Macbeth was doing okay and he didn't have any issues.

I think there as powerfull as Macbethh wanted them to be. Like he lived day by day by what the witches told him. I think they would of happen no matter what, because the only difference is they told Macbeth to prepare himself for what was coming but either way it was going to happen. We all knew at the end Macbeth was going to get killed, it was just how it happen what made it interesting.

The Weird Sister's prophecies are really powerful at least to Macbeth they are. At first he thought they were crazy but once he found out he actually had become thane of Cawdor he began to trip out and actually believe them. I think that the same events would have happened regardless but maybe in a different way. They did say he was to become Thane of Cawdor, which he did. Maybe if Macbeth (aka Lady Macbeth squeezing his nuts) would have been more patient, Macbeth would have been named king the right and honorable way and not by killing the current king. So, because Macbeth let it get to his head and got so impatient and his wife kept busting his balls about it he took action into his own hands and ruined his sanity which later he got his head cut off, what a lovely way to die...just saying C:

The sisters prophecies where for the most part accurate but did not tell the whole truth. Like when the witches told Macbeth that no man born of woman will harm him, but that there will be a man born from a sea-section will come to defeat Macbeth. Or even when they talk about the forest moving in towards them, we think it will never happen but does because they use the branches and what not as disguise. I believe weather or not the witches told there prophecies and what they left out nothing would have changed and ended like it did. I feel there is nothing you can do to change the future and was meant to happen.

In opinion I think it wouldn't have happened because Macbeth wasn't even thinking about being king or taking the throne and all of the people that he ended up . But there is still a chance that it might have happened, we just can't speak on it because we only know what we read, and what information was given to us.

Insane to bit insane

Macbeth was more insane when he first killed Duncan and now that he is finally king he is more calm then ever because he so proud of it sadly but then he gets a bit insane when he starts seeing the ghost of baquo because he sended a murderer to kill him and his friend fleance . Macbeth starts to talk to himself a little bit but he is really talking to banquo to leave. Lady macbeths mentality changes a little at first she was a little in control and then she acts like nothing happens and like everything is normal. But its not.

AND THEY THOUGHT KANYE WAS CRAZY

I think that macbeth has passed insane. Now he is just killing people for no reason at all. It's not even him doin the murdering now he has people to do it for him. Maybe it's because he thinks he's to cool to do it himself. Other than the fact that he has people kill other people all none shallantly. He is also seeing ghost. Lady Macbeth is kinda going along with it because she knows what he is seeing kinda.But she is such a gangsta inside and out that she just lets it go past her head.As if nothing is going on at all.

macbeth started going insane in act 3, when he keeps talking to himself and his crazy wif keep talking to him about killing. i think macbeth is going to get even more insane throughout the rest of the acts. lady macbeth in my opinion gets macbeth to act in a crazy kind of way because of what she tells him.

I think that in act three Macbeth went crazy because of how he was listening to the witches and how he was listening to hes crazy wife. He was also losing it because he kept talking to himself about what he had did. Only crazy people talk to their self. I'm pretty sure he was even scaring himself I would have been scared if i were to be talking to myself. Ha! He was looking crazy at the point where hes guest were there and he was just talking to himself, they were even getting scared. Banquo's ghost was making him go even more insane by making him seem crazy by talking to himself. Lady Macbeth seemed a bit out of her mind because how she just takes everything like its whatever. How she says that the first kill hes always the more guilty one. She seems very calm about the whole situation.

Act 3 when Macbeth hire the murderers to killed Banqou and his son fleance, he thought it would be good be a better idea to get rid of him that nobody will know. That's when they have guest over and Macbeth saw the ghost of Banqou and became crazy and Lady Macbeth told him he's being insane and no one is there. Lady Macbeth was trying to keep Macbeth calm so the guest would not think he is crazy.

MacBeth begins to cross the line of sanity into insanity when he begins to listen to the witches. When it comes to pointing the finger of who to blame the witches seem to take the prize. The witches were the ones who placed the notion that MacBeth was going to be the one in power. Instead of letting destiny take its course MacBeth decides to take things into his own hands. As for Lady Macbeth she also begins to slowly lose her mind. The act of killing king Duncan begins to eat at her consciousness and she no longer knows how to deal with it.

What sane person could live in this world and not be a little crazy

I still don't think he's insane. He became a little a-wall after killing Banquo, he couldn't control himself. That's only because he let his conscience get the best of him and it started controlling him. He began seeing the ghost of Banquo and started tripping out in front of the lords and Lady Macbeth, and here is where we see how amazingly evil she is. She is perfectly fine, should have won an Oscar for that one. She was telling him to balls up and get a hold of himself, she even enjoyed herself drinking and partying it up knowing that Banquo was being killed.

Macbeth started becoming insane when he married his psycho wife&actually listening to her about killing thew king. When he actually kills the king that's when he looses it because he's full of guilt&you can tell he has no clue what to do with himself. But when Duncan also dies he becomes more insane because while they had a dinner he thought he saw the ghost of a Duncan&was actually talking to an empty chair.WEIRDOO! So basically he's just driving himself insane.

Macbeth has been crazy since he first even listed to Lady Macbeth with the whole kill the king stuff. and then his insanity started to show more and more in act 3 when they were all at the dinner table and Macbeth keep seeing Banquo (his ghost) and he just wanted everyone that was on to him dead. To top it all off Lady Macbeth act as if killing someone is a hobby and doesn't even freak about it or anything, she just tells Macbeth that he needs to calm down and he needs sleep.. but i mean c'mon, eventually she'll crack right? :O

Macbeth went ballistic in Act 3. Dude was talking to himself, acting real strange. He even scared himself, not to mention his guest that he was suppose to be entertaining. Lady Macbeth trying to keep Macbeth sane at least half sane so that he won't give up what he has done. She kind of making it seem like Macbeth acts this way all of the time.

In act 3 we see this in Macbeth when him and his wife have guest over, and sees the ghost of Banquo While lady Macbeth it trying to keep him at least part sane, so the he doesn't scare there guest off. But that doesnt seam to work because Macbeth starts interacting with the ghost and lady Macbeth asks her guest to please excuse themselves.

At this point in the play, I consider Macbeth to be insane. Just by the way he thinks its just crazyyy. He pictures himself killing someone and I think a normal person will never come across thinking about killing someone. He also talks to himself a lot that is not normal. Maybe later on something will prove that what I consider him to be right now is wrong but till now he is insane.

Honestly, I've read this years ago and I never once thought Macbeth was a nutter (Lady Macbeth, on the other hand? B***h is a little bit psycho, straight up, mate.)

Macbeth is just a lost & misunderstood guy who got in too deep. Just like every other "higher up" in any form of government or monarchy, he eventually grew a bit too cocky and a lot power hungry. Give a person a inch, they'll eventually take a mile, y'know?

Everyone's a bit cracked in the head, honestly. Saying someone is a loon, even a made up character out of some long overrated play, and not even remembering that you too are a bit of a mess yourself, is just poor judgement haha.

Macbeth isn't insane he is just plan stupid. He is being peer preasured by his wife to kill someone, and i guess it actually makes him crazy because he actually does it. Later on in the play he starts to get wife from snapped crazy. But at this point in the story he is just a total idiot to me.

I believe Macbeth was insane because he always talk to his self when nobody is in the room. Then he start dreaming weird things about killing Duncan that he really his killing him,but when he wakes up its not real. He was warning Duncan not to wake up or hear the bell because he would either go to hell or heaven. His wife Lady Macbeth put crazy things in his mind that makes him go insane. When that happens he will killed Duncan but does not want to do that. That is why he is crazy and such a wuss.

Macbeth at this point I think is loosing his mind. He pictured how he would kill the king, who does that?! He also has his own wife getting to his head and she's filling his head with not so many great things. So i feel he is insane and not even neat the word sane.

I think Macbeth is very insane at this point because he just does not know what to do and all he is doing too is just following lady Macbeths lead, think about being king himself, talking to himself, what the witches said about him, and just deciding whether to kill the king or not because he knows the king trusts him.

At this point of the play I would definitely say Macbeth is insane. Ever since the first meeting with the witches, he cannot get the idea of becoming a king out of his head. He began plotting against the actual king in order to kill him and has begun talking to himself. He goes on and on about the murder and how he will, if he were to, do it. Macbeth does have his moment of saneness when he says:

but yet completely goes against it his own reasoning's. He thinks too much about the issue at hand and doesn't know what to do.

He is clearly seeing things and sometimes he's not even sure himself. Like the dagger and the blood, and he thinks that its there and that its not and that its bloody like the other one he has, and he is just having all these illusions and thoughts that the sometimes he doesnt even do. i dont know he confuses me too, and then i think that i'm going insane by not reading right; then i have to re-read to make sure that i'm reading the right thing. I think that Macbeth is not crazy but i do think that he is like confused because he really doesnt know what too do. I think that Lady Macbeth is putting a lot f things inside of his head. But I think that within time he will realize things and not be so confused. I think that what really got to him was of what the three witches had told him.

I don't think he's crazy.. yet! I just think he's blinded by what the three witches told him and he's so looking forward to being king that he doesn't quite care what he has to do to be king. It's not his fault he has a wife like his but maybe he should of kept his trap shut and not said anything to his wife about being king. I think his wife is a crazy broad, she's all obsessed and desperate for her husband to become king. Its like "dang, calm down thirsty!" but we all know how crazy these women can get. At this point in the book I believe that Macbeth is insane. At times he seems as if he's sane to a person who doesn't pay much attention to him. But when you really pay attention and read deep between the lines you can't help but think he's insane. Why you say??? Because while reading Act 2 Scene1 pg 53 Macbeth is alone in the room talking among him self about the crime he will soon commit. Grasping at the imaginary dagger that is in front of him & later pulling the same dagger from his pocket. Or even when the bell rings and to himself he says "I'm going now. This is as good as done. The bell is telling me to do it. Don't listen to the bell, Duncan, because it summons you either to heaven or to hell". My point being how can you read all this with out believing Macbeth has driven him self to insanity. All from planning to commit such a crime while at the same time having to face what he has done and its consequences.

No I don't read my horoscope daily, i sometimes even forget that they exist. but when i do get a hold of a magazine or the Internet i read just to see what it talks about. sometimes they do come true or if i read the late horoscope sometimes it would turn out to be true. and yeah i mean i find it interesting but sometimes i don't really pay attention to them, so there for i don't trust them, i have trust issues. but i have been tempted to see a psychic, but in the Mexican culture, it says that is bad luck to go see one, that you get bad luck or something like that, of that sometimes you know things that you didn't really want to know, so then you just keep thinking about that and then it comes true, i don't know something like that. So i am tempted but no i wouldn't really go till I'm older. Um i do think that some people can predict the future, not many. i do believe that people are born with a gift like that; but at the same time who knows....

I'm looking forward to the future, but my eyesight is going bad & this crystal ball is always cloudy except for when you look into the past.

Honestly, whenever I read my horoscope for any day, it's always after the day has already passed and is over with. I think I just like to make fun of them then and throw in a few snarky remarks.

I hardly ever read my horoscope but if I do it's just because I happen to be going through something that had the horoscope of the day and I'll read just to see what it says. I don't really think that there true buy there's times that I do because of what it contains. It sometimes has me thinking like is it really true. But other then that I don't really trust my horoscope I may believe it at times and what it says but not enough to trust it. I actually have been to a psychic before I think once or twice can't really remember. When I was there and they were doing there work it sort of had me scared. But at the time I was nervous of what they were going to say. But everything they told me was very true. The person didn't know me but knew everything about me by the work and everything she told me about what's going happen in my future has so far come true. So yes I think psychics can really predict the future if you actualy go to a good one and not someone who just b.s stuff. So that's my explanation of what I think about my horoscope and of a psychic.

I read my horoscopes everyday to tell me what's going to happen. Sometimes it comes true but sometimes it don't, I don't want to jinx things to bad things start happening. I was thinking about go seeing a psychic to see what is my future, but then again I think it would be to crazy to go. I think psychic can predict the future because it can tell what is happening or what good things is coming for us. Even though some people don't believe in that stuff they sometimes things can come true.

Horoscope and psychics

I do sometimes read my horoscopes and there are times that I do believe what it says but also depends on what it contains. I do not really trust what it say sometimes because like i said before it depends. I have never been tempted to visit a psychic and sometimes i do think some could predict the future because also you have to be careful they are not scamming you. There are some psychics that do that and we all need to be careful if we do visit a psychic . I do believe that there are people out there some how could predict on what could happen and it is amazing. Especially more Hispanic psychics are able to predict the future because they always somehow come true personally I believe in paranormal psychics because when they come to haunted place they always know how the spirits are feeling, knowing on what is going on, or knowing what they are saying and it is true when examining the information.

I don't read my horoscope daily but I will read it once in a while. I really don't trust what it says but I find it kind of interesting to see what they say and what they predict about. I donot read my horoscope everydayy. I used to at some point but it never came trueee. I have been tempted but i don't do it because i'm scared to of what's it's going to tell mee. i think they can somewhat tell the futuree, like it depends on the person and how they look at things.

I do not read my horoscope daily,I am really not into the whole superficial stuff. Sometimes I believe what I am being told but then again it is common sense like how it says things aren't the best but it'll soon be okay' and it's like okay i even knew that. I wouldnt be able to go to a psychic they kind of creep me out on how they 'know things', so for me to visit one I would be somewhat paranoid and feel a little awkward. I think certain people can predict the furture but then again, you letting that person know their future it can easily be changed.

I don't read my horoscope daily think that actually kind of creepy and desperate (sorry for those who do :o) but I do read them when im bored or theyre like in a magazine. I dont trust them but there's times when its like freakishly accurate. Then I think, no its all bologna becuase there are millions and millions of people and theyre basing it on the stars for a million people with one specific horoscope, makes no sense and sometimes, honestly the things it says are so stupid. I'm very tempted to visit one, and I will soon. I was going to last year but my supersticious Mexican mom says its the worst luck if you do it before you 18
(weirdo). Who knows, there are a lot of unexplainable things in this world and I think psychics, fortune tellers, and people who talk to the dead are some of those "unexplainables".

No, I don't read my horoscopes daily, but every now and then when I get bored I tend to look up mine on Yahoo. I'm very superstitious, and I sometimes trust what it says depending on what it contains. I don't use it for the future as much as I use it for the past to see how accurate it was. I've always wanted to go see a psychic, it's been my dream, but my mom is against it and would never let me. :( I'm not going to say they can predict the future, but it could be possible. Hispanics, or at least the ones I know, tend to have a 6th sense to them. My aunt had a dream of my grandpa crying really bad and it turned out that one of my close uncles in Mexico was in a motorcycle accident or every time my mom dreams of her teeth falling, there's a death in the family. :O

I don't read my horoscope daily or even monthly, maybe just once a year when I see something that catches my eye. Though from what I have read I don't believe everything they say to be 100%, though I do feel some of things can be related to my personality and who I am. Other times its like wow that doesn't describe me at all. I have never been tempted to see a psychic, though I do believe that there are some people who can see into the future. But I wouldn't want to know because it take away from life experiences or learning from mistakes. Your having your life story being handed to you n the matter of seconds, plus you don't know the exacts day and time when it will all set into place and you might depend on it.

No I do not, but my friend has read mines to be on several occasion. I thought for a minute, like maybe that is true. But then something always happen where I don't believe in it. I have been tempted to see one, thinking maybe what he or she says will actually be true. But then when I try for the one online they always want to charge money, so I reconsider doing it. They probably can predict the future but you never know whether or not what there telling you is true, unless you believe in them or trust them.

 Reading my horoscope is something I do, but not on a daily basis. Sometimes I feel curious and I go on and check what it has to say. Personally I think horoscopes can be true,I do trust some, only when their good! :)  When they say something negative might happen I ignore them and pretend they were never read by me. I have experienced reading one saying something was going to happen and it never did, after that I stopped reading it for a loooooong while. I was pretty upset :/ Visting a psychics is something I would love to do! In fact I asked my mom if she can take me to one and she always responds by saying that im crazy :O I would be scared to, because it might have some scary consequences and some psychics could be really weird looking. Im not 100% sure if what they say is right, I mean it might but WHO KNOWS IF THEY ARE JUST LYING!

Success

My definition of success are accomplishments, hard work, degrees or diplomas, graduating, and career. How far I would go to be successful is to study and work hard, graduate, and making sure I get all of my degrees on time. There are times that people do sacrifice for success like leaving their friends and family, quitting their jobs for something they want to do, and more.

SUCCESS MEANS...........

When you prove something about yourself or making a living that you work hard on. One day when I graduate from college I will find a job that I will like and have a lot of money that I can save, probably buy a house or a small apartment, then I'll become a huge successful person. I don't believe I have to make a sacrifice for anyone because if I work and do what I have to do then I will make myself proud and my family.

The definition of successful for me is a person who is finacially stable. They don't have to borrow money or struggle with anything it's already there and they can get what they want when they want. I would do what I can legally because if you do something illegal there is no point in having what you needed. Because you will probally be behind bars. Drake said he just wanna be succesful. I think that's what everyone wants.

I only do it for the scars & stories. Not the fame. :)

My definition of sucess would have to be doing what you love, being who you are no matter what, and just being happy wherever you are with whatever your doing. I mean, what's the point of being sucessful when your not even HAPPY with yourself or what your doing?
I guess when it comes to certain sucesses, I lose people along the way. and honestly, half the time it's my fault that happens. I can admit, when I really want something, I pretty much assume everyone around me who isn't a big part of my life (like the loves of my life are) don't exist.

It's a horrible thing to admit to, but there's always been two groups for me. There's People and then there's the group of beings that I love no matter what. If your not in that group of beings, then your just another person to me. And that's how it's always been.
I think people sacrifice way too much for something they don't even want in the end. Back then, I sacrificed alot of things I now know that I probably didn't have to. But now, thinking on it, without sacrificing those things/people, I wouldn't be who I am or experienced the things I had experienced or know the things I now know today.
So, in the end, it was worth it. :)

If you want something, go for it, man. Just don't forget where you come from and who you were.

 Success for me is when you accomplish the goals you have set for yourself. To be successful you must take some decisions, you must know what you want to accomplish and plan as how you would want your life to be. Success is a feeling of happiness, their is nothing more exciting than accomplishing a goal you have set for yourself. To be successful is to understand what is important to you, to recognize your weaknesses and your flaws but to never give up no matter how difficult it might get.

What is the definition to success... Well to mean the definition to success means that your doing something to be able to move on like encouraging yourself in doing something to better yourself in life. The actual definition is the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors. For me as in going far to become successful I would go pretty far but in a good way. I wouldn't do something that is not right just to be successful. If I were to think about it as of now I think that I would encourage myself to graduate on the honor roll. Then i would continue on to college. I would pick a successful career to get paid good amount of money because I love money. I think that there's times when people really do go very far to become successful. I've heard of people that are drug dealers and do things with that law to get money and become someone successful. For me to become someone successful I would only do it the right way it should be. SOMEONE I WILL BE SOMEONE REALLY SUCCESSFUL :)

I'm not really sure how far i would to make myself successful, but i would most likely go as far as i could in school to become successful and see where that leads me. My definition of success is an achievement that you have worked on for a long time and haven't given up on. The farthest I would go to be successful is knowing that once I'm fully happy with everything I have accomplished so far. I think people sacrifice too much for success because people will give up there social life, friends, and family. To me I think that is going too far. My opinion I don't think you have too give up anything in order for a person too be happy.

My definition of success is a person who achieves everything that he or she has been working towards. In order for me to be successful I will do everything I possibly could or am willing to do to get where I want to be, besides stepping over people. Some people go to an extreme in attempting to be successful and hurt others or themselves in the process, they should learn that the best success is personal success. In my opinion success means that you tried your best to do something and you accomplished it. When you really want to do something and need motivation, and then when you do it you feel happy and joyful that you succeeded in something that many other people did not. It's also something you have to gain or lose friends and do some things that you might not want to do, but at the end of the day that decision will make your life different and a success.
If it is something that I really want to do then I will do whatever it takes to make sure its a successful task. There are a lot of things I would sacrifice for something that I think will later be a success. But I do feel that those things and decisions that I might make will be bad, but at the end of the day it will be a lesson learned.
There are people that might sacrifice too much for success, but who am I to judge.

What is success????

My definition of success would be the reward of achieving a goal or goals that you have set for your self in life. Which you have worked so hard to accomplish weather they are little goals like getting good grades, apliyying to colleges or where you plan to be in the future. Such as career wise and how you plan to get there. I have to say I would go through a lot in order for me to be a great success, because I kind of do it now with out giving it much thought. For example me working while I do school and volleyball takes a lot out of me but I do it because I do skateboard design which helps me with my art, as well as build up my skills and portfolio. For what I plan to do in life being "illustration" as well as in college so I know its worth it and its something I love doing and good at. I do believe there are some people in the world that sacrafice to much for success, forgetting about family and friends and butting there career above everything else. Which for me I know I could never do because my family and friends are my support towards my success and give me the extra push when I need it.

My definition of success is fulfilling your full potential and being happy with a good steady job, good social life and just being happy. I would go the farthest and do the most to reach success. Being able to say that you love your job and get paid wonderfully and still go home and keep a smile on your face is all the success you need. There are some people who are very rich and successful but not happy or fulfilled. I think a lot of people sacrifice many things to reach success in the workplace but to me success just isn't about your career. Some people will give up their family life or social life in order to be successful. Its actually kind of sad, the fact that your willing to give up people or step all over people to be successful at work.

-I think this quote is important because James and his mom struggled being the color that they are. Especially being a white woman and marrying black men, and having babies by them. James always questioned his mom about being black and not having light skin like his mom. Ruth always tried to avoid all of that.

This was my favorite quote because its true and has so much meaning. Ruth didnt have to chance to say that because by that time, she had been dead. You have to be able to suck up your pride sometimes because tomorrow is never promised. Then, if you dont get the oppurtunity, or even if you do but its too late your always going to have that regret and that "what if" feeling.

This was definitly one of my favorite quotations in the book. Very significant and meaningful. Many of us go through each day without knowing that tomorrow isin't promised and uslually we never remember to tell our loved ones how important they are for us and how much we care for them. Tomorrow is not promised so everyday remind someone how much you love them and how much you care <3

I have now come to the conclusion that I have been confused for many a day and I now love many a days.

I felt like a Tinkertoy kid building my own self out of one of those toy building sets; for as she laid her life before me,I reassembled the tableau of her words like a picture puzzle,and as I did, so my own life was rebuilt.

This would have to be my favorite quote in the book. Sure, there's others in there that are just as amazing but this one really hit home for me, at the present time haha. :')

It's significant because James used to be ashamed and embarrassed of his mother and (sometimes) his heritage, but when he listened to his mother tell him these stories, her actual life just poured into words, he realized he didn't even know half of what it meant to be himself, much less his mother.

It gave him that good kick in the ass and made him rebuild what he thought he knew about life AND himself. And someone who can make you rebuild who you are and make you really "get it", will be one of the most amazing people you will ever meet in your life. <3

i thought this quote was berry very important through out the book, because i felt like Ruth had a lot to say but she was just so quite about everything.

chicken or bird???

I think a quote that I found significant was the one where the mom talks about the chicken. ”That chicken is just showing God we're thankful for living. It's just a chicken, it's not a bird who flies. A bird who flies is special. You would never trap a bird who flies". I found this quote on page 218. When first read this quote. I thought about how its so similar to ruths life because how she wasnt really free because she was like the chicken she wasn't able to be free. But she's thankful for everything she has in life thought, she had her kids and that's all she needed. She felt she was stuck in life because how her kids were bi racial and she felt she was judged because of that. She also felt that her kids wwere also stuck and not free
