Yeah, i do think that he does redeem himself. This touches into religion and belief. He finally does something that he can forgive himself for, even if other people might think that it doesn't really help, it helps the person. Like i said this might touch in religion, because in the catholic faith and stuff you confess your sins you feel better about yourself. I do believe that all people can redeem themselves. it just depends if a person wants to.
