This book is boring

This book is a serious trivial comedy there are some scenes that they do make fun of themselves kind of by how serious they are but they are putting it in a less funny way. I say less funny way because its not funny. But anyway here are some examples like the part were the niece loves that guy name earnest but doesn't know him really well and that part were the mom is asking him question and gets wierd answers and she took it seriously. So yea this book is not funny and I dont get it.
