The importance of being Earnest a comedy manners would be social criticism because he is making fun of how the victorian society acts. Yes I do think this play is some what funny.An example of Wilde satirizing is like when he makes fun of people being romantic and when he was being sarcastic when he said all of his friends practiced proposing.
