My parents came from bad socioeconomic backgrounds. My dad, or
Papi as I call him, was born and raised in Mexico City. He dropped out of school to start working in 6
th grade; He later came to the United States around the age of 20. My mom, born and raised in Chicago, came from poor family on the south side, graduated from high school and later got pregnant with my brother. When my parents met, later on, they did everything possible to get a better life. In the process of chasing the "American dream" they built their morals and values which were, and still are, installed into my brother, sister, and I.
Because of the fact that my parents came from a bad background, they want the best for us; they yell at us all the time to not commit the same mistakes they did and not to follow in their paths. They want us to succeed in life and do better than they ever could. Something that my parents find very important, because of their past, is education. My ma is always telling us that when she leaves this world the only thing she's happy she could give us is an education because that's the only thing that sticks with us.
I agree with this because my parents went through the same thing o i like Ur picture. :)
ReplyDeleteCute picture. That's what every parents want the education of there children.
ReplyDeleteMy parents also had it hard growing up but what i admire about my parents is that they not once gave up. They wanted the best for us. So now we have to do our job and make them proud..
