How is The Importance of Being Earnest a
"comedy of manners"? Is this play actually funny? What is Wilde satirizing?
The book is actually pretty funny. If it was more modernized it would be hilarious. The funny part is that everyine is starting to get caught in the jack/earnest lie. But when I don't know whats going on I only know that its semi-funny because Noonan laughs. If it wasnt for her I wouldn't know that a joke is taking place.
Yeah when noonan point out the jokes and we all look at her like "o_O" whattt. Then minutes later where all ":DDDDD" cracking up a storm
