Faith or Religion

Me personally i think that both religion and faith both play roles in the book "THE COLOR OF WATER". The kids come from a mixed raced. Both their mother and father or step father had lots of faith and were religious. They got go roles played for towards their children. The children mother is a very good role because she has lots of faith on her family. their mom is a Jew and she plays a well role for them. Her children are really questionable about who she really is because of how she never tells them about herself. i think that is shows when James asked his mom what skin color was God and she responded to them by saying that God was the color or whatever he stood next to. Also when she says that God lives in everyone and is everywhere.
