Religion YO!

Faith and religion have plenty to do with the book. There are several times when James mentions what a devoted Christian her mother was and how every Sunday her and her twelve children would be at church. All the times that James would ask his mother about race she would say how there is no color and God see's no color and when James asked what color God was she simply said that god was the color of water. Another example is when she was talking about how she felt about being a orthodox Jew and how when she converted to Christianity she truly felt the power of God and how she found herself in God and helped her through her life.
