It must have been hard being in the middle of what was going on. Having to choose between your only lover and your father, who doesn't even treat you right, but then again knowing that you made a promise with your mother about staying. That's "tough love!"
But in the end she did make the right choice by putting up with her father, even though she didn't get the same respect from him. She stood by her mothers word, and didn't want to feel bad/guilty for leaving. She knows it will always be on the back of her mind, like she could've done something better.
Lol this girl (your voice) talking about some "tough love". No really I feel you GEE. Eveline made the right choice and had to do what she had to do. I probably would have stayed to, well with my stepdad.
