The internal conflict in "Eveline" is that she is trying to decide what to do with her life, if she should rather stay with her abusive father, be unselfish, and keep her promise to her deceased mother in comparison to going off with her love, create a new life, and actually be happy for once. I completely disagree with her choice, as selfish as it may sound, one's life, in the end, up to you and only you. Although staying would show where her morals are at it's not going to do her any good in the long run. This is an example of Modern Literature because it emphasizes the struggle against one's own mind.
Yes, because at the end of the day you have to do what makes you happyy.
